Earlier this week, Uruguay's star player Luis Suarez packed his bags and left Brazil after being banned from international football play by FIFA. After the organization deducted from video evidence that he absolutely bit another player during a recent match, the ruling came swift and hard. Now the goal-scorer has finally had some time to address the issue and you can probably guess what he has to say about it.

In a statement released today, Suarez stated, "in no way it happened how you have described, as a bite or intent to bite."

"After the impact ... I lost my balance, making my body unstable and falling on top of my opponent," he explained. "At that moment I hit my face against the player leaving a small bruise on my cheek and a strong pain in my teeth."

Unfortunately for Suarez, the FIFA committee, after examining the video footage of the incident, decided that the bite was "deliberate, intentional and without provocation."

Suarez is a repeat offender, though, so we doubt many people will believe that the star athlete lost his balance during the match.
