According to reports, True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto has finished the first script for the HBO series' second season, and it has already leaked. This is, of course, good news because one script completed means more will also follow suit. It's also even better news because the script details have possibly revealed the actual lead character details we've been waiting fro since Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey's first season came to an end earlier this year.

With one script completed, we can assume that the rest will finish this fall. This gives Pizzolatto and his team time to figure out a filming schedule that could happen, most likely, in early 2015. With that, we could expect a season two premiere date in the Fall of 2015.

This is all just putting two and two together here; so don't take this as fact just yet. With this timeline hypothesis in mind, though, the highly anticipated episodes are more than a year away. How does this make you feel?

Meanwhile, all fans have been talking about regarding the upcoming season is who will lead the show in the main role or roles. Some rumors suggested that two female leads would replace the male leads of season one, but with this script leak it looks like that might not be true.

According to The Wrap, season two will feature one male lead with supporting roles from male and female characters.
