'Star Wars 7' Casting News, SPOILERS & Rumors: J.J. Abrams Eying Carrie Fisher's Daughter, Billie Lourd, For 'Episode VII' Young Leia OR Daughter Role?
New casting and plot rumors regarding the highly anticipated 2015 movie, Star Wars: Episode VII, suggest that flashbacks to the time of the original trilogy could be involved. This speculation comes from reports stating Carrie Fisher's daughter, Billie Lourd, has joined the J.J. Abrams production. Do you believe this new casting rumor? Is this a big spoiler?
This news comes from an unnamed source, so we're hesitant to believe it right now. That said, a flashback would be kind of cool in the Star Wars universe, so we're at least curious as to why Abrams and his team would do it! Why would we need to go back in time?
"She will even have her hair tied up in Princess Leia-style buns," the insider said. "She's an aspiring actress and singer so she grabbed the opportunity with both hands. Carrie backed the move as she wanted somebody in her family to play her most famous role."
Surely if a flashback was needed, getting Carrie's daughter is the right way to go for a younger version of the actress.
This isn't the only Billie Lourd theory though. According to British talk show Good Morning Britain, the aspiring star might play Leia and Han's daughter! Check out the Twitter post that started this rumor right here:
