Homeless Man, 25 Threatens To Kill 'Good Morning America' Anchor Michael Strahan With A Knife
MStars News has learned that a homeless 25-year-old man was taken into custody on Tuesday morning after threatening the Live With Kelly And Michael host, Michael Strahan.
According to Hip Hollywood, law enforcement reported that Andre Johnson arrived to ABC Studios in Times Square, where Strahan works for Good Morning America as a correspondent around 8 a.m asking to see Strahan. When the 25-year-old was asked to leave by a security guard that's when the threats started. Johnson pulled out a knife on the guard and revealed that he was there to kill Strahan.
After the incident, Strahan was taken down by officials and hauled to the Midtown South stationhouse where sources revealed that Johnson told investigators: "I was there to kill Michael Strahan."
The homeless man was charged with felony attempted assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon and is being held without bail, the site reported. The good news is, Strahan never witnessed the incident with Johnson, and was not hurt.
Strahan joined GMA on April 15, appearing during the 8:00 a.m. hour of the show 3 to 4 times a week. The new correspondent was added after Josh Elliott announced that he was leaving to move to NBC.
