Pretty Little Liars 100th Episode Recap- Ezra and Aria Rekindle EZRIA and Emison Finally Happens- Get the Scoop On What Went Down Here
Wow!!!! How can we even begin to recap this week's episode of Pretty Little Liars, when we can barely even wrap our heads around what happened? We are going to three deep breaths before diving right into the drama; we suggest you do that same.
The creative team behind PLL sure knows how to keep things interesting; you would never believe that this week's episode was the 100th one of the series. For the mega-anniversary, they pulled out all the stops, including two long awaited lip locks, two dramatic returns, and even a Frozen sing-a-long.
The episode sure doesn't skimp on the dramatics either.
Aria's storyline focuses on her still trying to make amends with herself after Shana's death. She says she has been living in fear that A (who viewers believe was Shana) is going to start texting her again. But when the mysterious Jenna arrives back in town, trying to cope with the death of her best friend, Aria feels that if she can help her health that it will somehow give her some peace as well. She tries to befriend Jenna first by breaking and entering into her house and next by inviting her over for some tea. Although we thought Aria's intentions, however illegal they may have been, were nice, we can't help but think that this situation is going to somehow bite her in the butt later.
A lot of the episode focuses around Alison, and viewers get to see a different side to her that is really refreshing. As she looks at herself in the mirror before going back for her first day of school, she appears really vulnerable. She even gives herself a pep talk saying that she has been through worse. We can't help but start to feel emotionally attached to her.
You got to love the cheesy slow motion walking as Alison makes her royal entrance back to the hallowed halls of Rosewood High. The eye-rolls and the open mouth stares are simply just too much, and we can't help but laugh. If only we could have turned this many heads when walking through our schools hallways.
When the liars aren't practicing their catwalk moves, they are getting some unexpected visits from their parents in the Principal's office. Spencer's mom thinks it's a good idea to disrupt her daughter's education by dropping a pretty big bombshell on her. She tells Spence that they need to go home right away and pack because she is leaving her father. Well it's a good thing that they do go home because after a huge revelation like that Spencer would definitely not be able to focus in her English Lit class.
Alison tries to makes amends in this episode to everyone that she has clearly hurt, including Emily's ex, Paige. Emily brings her two ex-flames together and both Paige and Ali share in an emotional and tearful exchange of words. While it appears that Alison has made up with everyone she does have a few words for one more person, probably the person she hurt the most when she disappeared.
Alison talks to Emily saying that she needs to express how sorry she is for letting her think that her feelings for Ali were just one sided.
"Those kisses weren't just for practice." Alison says. "You were the hardest one to leave behind."
Let us just stop here for a second because what happens next was complete gasp-worthy and unexpected.
EMISON actually happens!!! Finally!! Emily and Alison while snuggling together in bed start going at it in a full on makeout session. THANK GOSH!! We have been waiting for this since season 1.
The relationships during this episode were seriously on some steroids. Watching the Alison and Emily scene and then the Aria and Ezra scene were enough to give viewers a heart attack.
We could feel the tension between Aria and Ezra as he wiped off some excess key lime pie from Aria's face, before showing her his gunshot wound on his perfectly sculpted abs.
Ezra whispers in his most sultry voice to Aria, "I don't ever want to hear you say your sorry again," and that's when the brunette literally jumps his bones.
During these two scenes, we gasped, we got chills, and we screamed so loud that our neighbors are probably still worried.
The other big relationship development that happens during the centennial episode is that Caleb is finally back from his stint over in Ravenswood, but not to the happiness of Hanna who gets painstakingly drunk just to deal with his reappearance.
In one of the scariest moments of the whole episode, Alison gets chased into a church by none other than badass Mona herself. She reveals that what she really wants is for Ali to be gone.
"Everyone wants to be my friend and you know it won't take me long to win back your army of losers. I made you loser Mona once I can do it again," Ali exclaims before her and Mona get into a little slapping fight.
Shortly after, Alison confides in the girls and she seems really shaken by the whole incident, maybe she has changed?
The next day at school Mona shows a tape to her army, of the attack at the church, trying to drum up some more followers for her anti-Alison league.
It seems that this isn't Mona only plan as she meets up with Jenna, and the new girl from the swim team to discuss some pretty sketchy things.
The episode concluded with some breaking news being revealed. We finally get to learn the name of the girl who was buried in Alison's grave.
All the couples, Emily and Alison, Hanna and Caleb, Aria and Erza, and Spencer and Toby show up to watch the breaking news on TV, which reveals that Bethany Young, who's name has no significance whatsoever, appears to be in the grave.
As soon as the news is over a car crashes through the house, and as the couples exit they realize that Jenna's house is on fire. As they stand watching the house get engulfed by the flames, all of their phones start ringing... you know what that means, A is back!
We can't even with this episode!!! So much happened, we don't even know how to feel. Thank gosh its not on until next week because it's going to take us a week to recover.
