Shania Twain is definitely still the one.

The country diva, who has sold over 85 million record worldwide, is giving her fans a pretty big present today. While gearing up to perform her first two shows outside of her Vegas residency, the singer revealed that she is in the process of working on a new album and also mahy consider touring again.

While sitting down with the Calgary Herald, ahead of her two sold-out shows in Canada -- the first two she had done in a decade outside of her Caesars Palace residency where she headlines Shania: Still the One -- she said she is "pretty open" to getting back on the road.

"I was excited about the idea of doing a concert environment show again- it's been a long time," the singer reveals.

"I think I'm going to do more," Twain states. "It's just something I'm enjoying more now than I have in a long time. Vegas has been a really good transition for me to get back onstage again."

It's no coincidence that Shania hasn't toured since her last album, Up was released in 2002, so with the announcement there may be more shows, does that mean that we can expect a new album from the singer too?

"It's my priority this year and I will be in the studio soon as I can get in, get my ducks in a row," she tells the paper. "I'm working on it all the time right now."

Shania took a break in 2004 to strengthen her vocal chords after being diagnosed with dysphonia, a vocal condition, resulting from years of vocal damage. Through rehab and treatment the issue was addressed and it looks like Shania is back and better than ever.

"Back onstage has been very natural," she says. "It wasn't hard as I thought it was going to be. I'm enjoying the singing and I think my voice has a lot of qualities it didn't even have before, which is interesting. And I look forward to putting that down on record."
