After watching the first teaser trailer for "Deep Breath," the premiere episode of Doctor Who's eighth season, Whovians worldwide were ecstatic for its August 23, 2104, air date. To get you more hyped, this week BBC released the first image from the series featuring the Doctor [Peter Capaldi] and Clara Oswald [Jenna Coleman] in action! What does this image tell us about the first episode of the Twelfth Doctor?

From what we've seen so far, we don't know much about Capaldi's Doctor. Though Jenna Coleman this year revealed that he is "a lot fiercer. The man is a total adrenaline junkie."
This new image shows an inquisitive Doctor alongside Clara, so perhaps the adrenaline kicks in soon after!

Meanwhile, head writer Steven Moffat, as usual, didn't reveal too much about the first episode, though he still commented on the subject.
"There's no point pretending that it's not the most interesting, dynamic thing that you've got to sell in that first episode," he teased. "It's going to be about 'What's he like? How's he different?' I suppose it feels a bit like a character piece, but there's plenty of action and nonsense and jeopardy, as there ever is in Doctor Who."
