Looks like the CW Network will be adding more adversaries to its DC Comics superhero TV show. After the pilot, Grant Gustin, starring as title character The Flash, will be facing off against a major super-villain from DC Universe.

In the comics, Barry Allen is around his 30s, in his prime, when he dons the red costume. Because he has years of experience as a forensics scientist, he has no trouble squaring off against the bad guys. But this isn't the same superhero getting his own live-action series.

For one thing, Gustin is a lot younger and after his appearances on Arrow, we can tell he also has a good sense of humor. The comic relief part comes from Wally West, known as Kid Flash. When Wally donned the speedster's costume, one of the other changes made to the hero was to add comedy.

If this Flash is learning the ropes, then that means our newbie hero is unprepared to face off against the major super villains. In the second episode, 'Fastest Man Alive,' the speedster meets an antagonist straight from the comics.

TV Line got the juicy stuff and teases, " Now, if I can interest you in some Episode 2 scoop, I am hearing that the second metahuman the Flash will face off against might make us all feel a bit... well, Mist-y."

In the DC Universe, The Mist is a scientist whose invention turns his body into gaseous state. The Starman baddie becomes too old to fight; his children, Nash and Kyle, take over and make advances with his chemical. Depending on how faithful the TV series, the Flash will have to deal with a family of antagonists.

The Mist is expected to appear in the first season of The Flash.  Readers, are you excited to see the two battle each other?
