‘True Blood’ Recap: Anna Paquin Goes To War In ‘Death Is Not The End!’ Sneak Preview of “Lost Cause’

HBO's True Blood continues its final season with the action-packed episode, 'Death is not the End.' It's time for Sookie and the rest of her friends to go to war against the H-Vamps.

In the opening, Robert Patrick returns as Alcide's father. He receives a call from Sookie (Anna Paquin), telling him his son is dead. Jason (Ryan Kwanten) has to tell some bad news to his former best friend, Hoyt. Jason wants to do more for his friend but can't because Hoyt doesn't remember their friendship anymore.

Pam (Kirsten Bauer van Straten) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) are on flight back to Bon Temps. After feeding off the stewardess and infecting her with Hepatitis V, Eric reveals his plans when they arrive. First, he wants to see Willa (Amelia Rose Blaire) again and then, he's going to kill Sarah Newlin.

The two have a flashback back to the '80s. They remember when their club used to be a video store and the basement was a porn shop. Ginger was an ex-film student and she originally named the place 'Fangtasia' before Pam stole the name.

Sookie visits Arlene's kids and promises them she will bring their kidnapped mother back. Though Holly is back at home with Andy (Chris Bauer), she cannot remember where the others are. Sookie has to telepathically enter her mind and force her to reveal the location.

Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) wants to drive off to Fantasia but Jason stops him. They have to wait till the sun goes down before they can rescue the others. While Jason turns the car back around, Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) has not been able to heal from her gunshot wound.

Sookie forces Jessica to feed off of Lafayette because she needs her help. Bill (Stephen Moyer) feeds off his former lover because he needs to be strong as well. Though the team has Jessica and Bill, it's still not enough to fight off the H-vamps.

Bill is surprised when Eric arrives at the door. It's now time for Eric and Sookie to be reunited. Northman caused an avalanche when he was burning up from the sunlight. When Willa arrives, Eric tells the group there is another way to enter the abandoned nightclub.

Merlotte travels inside through a tunnel as a rat. Because Eric is too weak to punch through a wall, Bill and Pam have to step in first. Arlene has been taken captive by the H-vamps and they start feeding off her.

Eric enters the club with Sookie, using her as vampire bait. When the hate group arrives, that's when the bullets start flying. Molotov cocktails are thrown into the fiery mix as everyone starts staking each other. Because Arlene has lost a lot of blood, she starts to drift away.

Just when Bill is about to give Arlene his blood, he senses Jessica in danger. Eric can't help because his blood is infected. Arlene is close to dying and starts to hallucinate about Terry.

Finally a clean vampire arrives to offer Arlene his blood. Before he goes, Terry tells his wife to stay with the kids and be happy. Pam saves the day as she clears the burning room with her fire hydrant.

While Sookie holds onto Pam, Eric steps into the room one last time. The lovers stare at each other before he leaves.
