After Winning The 2014 World Cup With Germany Toni Kroos Announces He's Leaving Bayern Munich for UEFA Champions League Winners Real Madrid
Sometimes people are dealt bad cards in life, but occasionally the world looks on as one man seemingly gets it all, usually from a life of hard work of course. Toni Kroos is enjoying the latter at the moment. The Germany star has been one of Bayern Munich's best players for a while, but a move seemed on the cards for this summer. Less than 24 hours after winning the 2014 World Cup, the star announced he's sealed a $35 million switch to UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid. The talented star could soon add even more domestic glory to his cabinet full of trophies. Can he become one of the greatest players of all time?
The German international was wanted by Manchester United and Chelsea, but once Madrid entered the race, he always seemed destined to head to Spain. Kroos had one year of his contract remaining and he made it clear he wanted to leave Bayern, meaning they had no choice but to allow their star man to leave for a rival team for a small fee. Kroos is arguably one of the best players in the world, and his fee represents half of his actual value, but the one-year contract allowed Madrid to save money on the international superstar.
Kroos can defend, score and assist, and his passing range is second to none. Can anyone stop Madrid now they've landed yet another sensational talent? Will they look to sell a midfield player to make room for Kroos in their squad? When his career is over and done with, he may just have won everything there is to get his hands on.
