Assassin's Creed Unity has been garnering plenty of hype over the last few months, so when a new gameplay trailer hit this week gamers welcomed it with open arms! This new trailer shows plenty of French Revolution violence with main character Arno Dorian wielding plenty of weapons and dealing lots of damage to his foes. This trailer does not showcase the anticipated multiplayer co-op mode, but we're still happy for the in-game footage!

We also get a great idea of the story that takes place in Assassin's Creed Unity, as we explore France by stabbing and sneaking our way through. Check out this new trailer here:

Meanwhile, a new Examiner interview with game creative director Alex Amancio revealed more details on the upcoming title. Amancio explained how Unity is a huge step into a new direction for the gaming franchise and that fans are sure to enjoy it!

"It's a new start, it's a new narrative start. That is symbolized by a completely new context for the present day," he said. "You've seen a little bit of an evolution with Black Flag, [but] we're not going to do the same thing. What we're doing with Unity is really the beginning [of] this new cycle of Assassin's Creed games. Because it's new, we can actually explain it properly, because nobody is going to feel like it's redundant. I would say that Assassin's Creed Unity is the best entry point for the franchise since [the first Assassin's Creed]."
