Eminem Crazy Music Antics: 'MMLP2' Rapper Drove Detroit To Malibu For New Demo Listen, Admits Paul Rosenberg
Eminem is one of the hottest rappers in the game - and that takes lots of hard work and dedication.
And sometimes results in rather odd, obsessive behaviors.
Music producer Paul Rosenberg recently told UK's popular tabloid The Mirror that Slim Shady hopped in a car and drove all the way from Detroit to Malbu in order to listen to a new demo tape.
While chatting at London's Beats Sound Symposium event earlier this month, Eminem's hip-hop pal revealed:
"He would always listen to music in his car so would use that a reference point to his music. So he didn't want to get back to Detroit to then listen to a demo in a car and go 'This is all wrong'... So it was driven out," Rosenberg explained. "It makes sense. If you listen to music in the same environment then it's a reference point. And you need that - and that's his."
Sounds a bit intense - but that's pure devotion!
Basically, the trip requires 34 hours behind the wheel (at least). The distance from Detroit to Malibu is 2,137 miles (approximately $1,4000 in gas, depending).
So, - why not just fly? Apparently, it's all part of Shady's creative process...
Well, fans should be happy - perhaps this is how MMLP2 came about!
