WATCH: 'The Conjuring' Spinoff Prequel Movie 'Annabelle' Trailer [VIDEO]: Haunted Doll Film Release Date Set For October 3, 2014
While we patiently await the sequel to The Conjuring, fans of the horror series can rejoice this week thanks to the first trailer for the spinoff film Annabelle! Focusing on the creepy doll of the same name featured in the opening scenes of the first movie, on October 3, 2014, we get to see the film adaptation of the real-life haunted doll story. This new film stars Annabelle Wallis, Alfre Woodard, Tony Amendola, Eric Ladin, Brian Howe and Ward Horton.
The story behind the Annabelle doll is actually very real. There is a dool that is on display at the Warren's Occult Museum. While the real Annabelle doll isn't as scary looking as the film version, the strange occurrences that happened with people that had the doll are chilling.
We should expect at least one of these stories to turn up in the movie, which is set as a sequel to The Conjuring.

ScreenCrushush reports:
While few details on the 'Conjuring' spinoff are available, other than it's a prequel, the first footage sees a new family attempting to establish a life for themselves, when the husband brings home a creepy doll. That's when their seemingly perfect suburban life turns into a hellish nightmare. We see the doll locked tightly away in the Warren's museum of horrors in 'The Conjuring,' and its origin story seems just as freakish.
