Malaysia Airlines Crash: English Premier League Club Newcastle Mourn Death Of Two Fans Who Died In MH17 Crash
The world is in mourning as there was yet another Malaysia Airline plane crash. Flight MH17 was shot down, and we know little of what happened and why it did happen, but today English Premier League clubs Newcastle were in mourning. The English Premier League club confirmed that two of their soccer fans, John Alder and Liam Sweeney, were travelling to watch their beloved team play on their pre-season tour, but sadly the pair have lost their lives. The club and its fans have been leaving tributes for the pair.
Flight MH17 departed from Amsterdam, heading for Kuala Lumpur, but it travelled over the conflict-hit areas between Ukraine and Russia, and suddenly it disappeared from the radar. 283 passengers and 15 crew members lost their lives. Little information has been revealed yet, but Newcastle were quick to confirm that Alder and Sweeney were on that flight.
The popular Toon fans were huge fans, travelling to almost every game, regardless of when, or how much it was. The club are known for uniting as one, and many are mourning as if they'd lost their own family member. The club united, and become an even closer group.
The crashed plane was a Boeing 777-200ER, which is the same model as the MH370 fligth that disappeared in March, whilst travelling to Beijing. The plane was manufactured in 1997, and there wasn't any known issues with the aircraft, and no distress calls were made, making the situation more concerning.
