Wentworth Miller will be joining the cast of the CW Network's The Flash, alongside Grant Gustin as the titled superhero. This time around, the Prison Break actor will be playing one of DC Comics super villains from its infamous Rogues gallery.

One of the Flash's greatest enemy will appear in the fourth episode of the live action series. Miller will be introduced as Leonard Snart, known better to comic book fans as Captain Cold. This will be a recurring role for the Stoker screenwriter.

During the Television Critics Association, executive producer Greg Berlanti explained the casting choice, "We'll be seeing his origin and the origin of the Rogues."

In the DC Universe, Leonard succumbed to a life of crime after getting hit one too many times by his father.  During one of his robberies, the thief picked up a cold gun and froze one of the security guards by accident. After nicknaming himself Captain Cold, Snart then picked up a parka and covered his eyes with a visor.

Later on in the series, Captain Cold would become leader of the Rogues. The group of baddies includes Mirror Master, Trickster, and Gorilla Grodd. Snart has a major rule that no villain would do or sell drugs. If the villain breaks that rule, they would be kicked off the team.

Captain Cold has the tendency to shoot for the legs with his freeze ray. In the comics, the Flash and Captain Cold have grown from longtime enemies to bitter friends.
