'Allure Magazine' Calls Lauren Conrad A 'Basic B*tch' - Former 'Hills' Star & Clothing Line Fashionista Responds On Twitter
Shady Shade!!
Allure magazine has just called out Lauren Conrad on her style, saying that the fashionista is "basic." And the diss hasn't gone unnoticed, as Lauren called the magazine out on her Twitter page.
The magazine features a section called "Typecasting," where they pigeonhole different celebrities under the categories, "Street Stylist," "Bohemian Hippie," and even "Basic," and they identify which stars best represent that personality.
Vanessa Hudgens was labeled as the "Bohemian Hippie," while Lauren got stuck with the less-than-stellar "Basic" tag.
Allure describes the word basic as a "remarkably unremarkable" woman. Underneath the picture of LC they write, "made famous by Kreayshawn, and viral by YouTube, the 'Basic' woman is remarkably unremarkable. What's noteworthy about her style is its very plainness. Except to her. She swears those red soled shoes are cutting edge."
They also refer to the "Basic" woman's hairstyle as being a blowout or sausage curls, her jeans are always skinny, she smells like vanilla cupcake body milk, and she paints her nails with Essie Ballet Slippers nail polish.
I definitely just got called a basic b*tch! Haha! Sausage curls!? Really @Allure_magazine? pic.twitter.com/m7CsNqvU0Z

Conrad has taken to her Twitter to address the harsh labeling, posting a scan of the magazine with the caption, "I definitely just got called a basic b*tch! Haha! Sausage curls!? Really @alluremagazine?
It seems that Lauren had a sense of humor about the whole incident, but we don't know if Allure took into account that Lauren has helped to sell their magazine on multiple occasion when she has been featured as their cover star.
Word of advice, don't bite the hand that feed you, just saying.
