‘The Leftovers’ Season 1, Episode 5 ‘Gladys’ Preview, SPOILERS [PHOTOS & VIDEO]: How Will Kevin Garvey Protect The Guilty Remnant From His Town?

The people of Mapleton have had to go through a lot since the massive disappearance, or "rapture," just three years prior, and they've had enough of The Guilty Remnant. Will the tensions boil over or will Chief Kevin Garvey manage to hold his town together for another period of time? In this weekend's new episode, entitled "Gladys," we might finally have some answers - but at what cost? (SPOILERS to follow)

According to the episode 5 synopsis, Laurie is having doubts about her vow of silence and new belief system. Is it because of her divorce from Kevin or is something else going on? Perhaps this new episode will shed some light on this factor.

From the looks of some mysterious new promotional images from HBO, some dark figures are coming into town, it seems. How are these flashlight-wielding people involved in the town and why are Kevin and the GR in the woods apparently investigating?

Meanwhile, fan-favorite character Reverend Matt Jamison looks like he plays a bigger role in this episode than last week's. From the looks of these other great promo images, he's either involved in Kevin's work or the two are at least hanging out more.

Plus it looks like his Church may be sold, but he has some followers to preach the word of God to, according to this other promotional image. But why does he have a microphone?
