Premier League Transfer Gossip: Angel Di Maria & Kevin Strootman Causing Transfer Fight Between Manchester United & PSG: Liverpool Want Another Southampton Star
There's only a month left until the 2014 summer transfer window closes, and boy do the Premier League clubs know it. The clubs are looking to make deals left, right and center, and it looks like we could be set for a stunning couple of weeks. Manchester United are trying to sign Real Madrid's Angel Di Maria and Kevin Strootman, but both money and PSG are in their way. Also, Liverpool look set to nab their fourth Southampton star this summer, as they've bid for Jay Rodriguez after a deal collapsed for Loic Remy, who could now move to Arsenal, or stay at QPR.
Real Madrid look set to sell Di Maria after landing James Rodriguez, but they may get luckier than they imagined, with both United and PSG fighting it out, with both teams prepared to pay around $80 million the land Argentina's star World Cup winger. Will PSG get their man as they have European football, or will United convince him he can achieve his dreams at Old Trafford?
That's not all for Louis Van Gaal's men, as they're desperate to land the currently injured Strootman. The talented player is just what they need, but reports suggest they'd need to spend nearly $100 million, and that's not going to happen for a player who has a serious injury. Can United package players in the deal, or get the transfer fee reduced? We'll see, but he might cost more than he's worth.
Southampton fans aren't very happy with Liverpool, and rightfully so. The club have signed three of their star players this summer, and they're aiming to make it a 'Fantastic Four' by signing striker Rodriguez, in a $13 million deal.
Will these deals go through?
