Waiting all day for Sunday night.

Is anyone ready for NFL Sunday Night Football? We know we are.

NBC enlisted the help of country superstar Carrie Underwood to revamp the opening intro for the show, giving it more of a glam rock feel this year. The former American Idol winner took over being the voice of Sunday Night Football last year, following in the footsteps of Faith Hill and P!nk.

The Oklahoma native says that she feels like a natural at it since she loves football.

"I grew up watching football," the "Something Bad" singer explains. "I have a passion for it and I have a passion for music. It's kind of all of these things get to mesh together for this one event."

"It's got a major star in Carrie Underwood," Fred Gaudelli, coordinating producer says of the opening. "That's the right person to open up [this show]."

The network has just released a behind the scenes clip for the SNF opening, which includes Underwood along with some pretty big NFL players.

DeMarcus Ware (Denver Broncos), Philip Rivers (San Diego Chargers), Brandon Marshall (Chicago Bears), Clay Matthews (Green Bay Packers), and Colin Kaepernick (San Francisco 49ERS) are just a few of the football players who will be gracing our TV's every Sunday night in the opening number.

"I think the players realize that Sunday Night Football is the #1 show on television - that their faces are going to be up there every single week, welcoming people to the show," Gaudelli stated.

The first game of the season will kick off when the Green Bay Packers play the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday, September 4.
