After reimagining Michael Myers and Laurie Strode, rock star musician Rob Zombie returns to the cinematic word with his latest Halloween-themed pet project, 31. Working outside the Hollywood system, the Soul-Crusher musician turns to crowdsourcing to fund his gritty and bloody horror movie.

Within the next two months, the Halloween remake filmmaker is aiming to raise funds for his next horror flick. The House of 1,000 Corpses creator is offering top rewards for film fanatics who want to support the project. Autographed posters, an extra on-screen gig, and select props are offered in the rewards packages.

In 31, the plot follows five strangers who have been kidnapped five days before Halloween. Each abductee must now survive in "Murder World" by playing the game "31." As the countdown starts, a group of killer clowns, known as "The Heads," are thrown into the mix to increase the body count.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Zombie discuss the film's gritty feel, "I wanted to do something that was a little more grand; a little cleaner cinematically. For this, I feel like a very nasty, gritty, guerilla-style approach to the filmmaking fits the story and the vibe of the movie."
