Once upon a time CC Sabathia was a force to be reckoned with in the MLB. Dominating mainly fir the Cleveland Indians and the New York Yankees. While rival pitchers such as David Price and John Lackey are dominating the headlines, Sabathia is sadly injured and will miss the rest of the 2014 MLB season. However, he will be back and ready to go for the 2015 season, possibly better than ever before. The star has lost weight, toned his body, and now has time to mentally prepare, however overcoming his cereal addiction has proven he can overcome this injury.

Yes, you read that correctly. Sabathia had an addiction to Captain Crunch cereal. He would eat box after box, possibly explaining why he seemed pounds and pounds overweight. It never got in the way if his pitching, though. During his recovery from his injury he has revealed that he has stopped eating the cereal for three years now.

Not only has he lost weight, but he's toned up, too. In 2011 he was told to lose weight, and he's since admitted giving up his cereal addiction was one of the hardest things he's ever done. Even though he still gets the urges, it seems he's found the willpower to get him through, and that will fair him well during his  injury rehab.

They say the MLB is a pitching league these days, and if Sabathia comes back without cereal and injury concerns, then his Yankees team may just have a shot at winning the 2015 World Series.
