Rob Thomas will be joining "The Voice" as a mentor for Team Cee Lo Green contestants.  The third season of The Voice returns this fall with new mentors for all four teams led by Maroon 5's Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, and Blake Shelton.

Thomas fronts rock band Matchbox Twenty and has released solo projects in the past.

He shared with Us Weekly, "I'm really excited to work with Cee Lo and love the idea that I may be in the room with a future superstar that the world has yet to discover."

Thomas also tweeted a blurry photo of him and Cee Lo Green with the message "Thanx to the crew at The Voice for being so great! Team CeeLo Green!"

Recently, Michael Buble was announced as mentor for Blake Shelton's team, and Mary J. Blige joined Adam Levine's team.  Christina Aguilera is left without a mentor confirmed.

Kelly Clarkson, Alanis Morissette, Robin Thicke and Miranda Lambert have made appearances as mentors in previous seasons.

Who do you think is a good fit for Ms. Aguilera's team?
