Louis Van Gaal, Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney, David De Gea & Ander Herrera Lead Manchester United To Liverpool Win: Targeting Premier League Title & UEFA Champions League Return

Louis Van Gaal has done a brilliant job in helping the club to forget their horrific year-and-a-half. The club lost all-time great Sir Alex Ferguson and replaced him with the ineffective David Moyes, who led them to a poor season. However the former Netherlands boss has changed things around. Players like Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney, David De Gea and Ander Herrera have turned the club around in a matter of weeks. They have beaten LA Galaxy, AS Roma, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and now enemies Liverpool this pre-season, making themselves the International Champions Cup winners, and now they're targeting a Premier League title win, and a return to the UEFA Champions League. On top of that, Van Gaal is set to rock the transfer window with incomings and outgoings in the coming days.

Van Gaal has the players playing fast, effective football once again, and more important than anything else, they're winning games again, albeit pre-season fixtures. They seem to believe in him, and themselves, which is more than Moyes managed to achieved in his one-year spell as manager. Players like Mata and Rooney are back in their regular roles, while new recruit Herrera looks like everything Moyes needed, but couldn't get, last season.

All of this has led to smiles at Old Trafford, yet, they're just beginning. Van Gaal has already said he will sell and buy more players once they've finished their tour of USA (today). So, it's evident that the club, despite tasting some success, are about to make some major changes, and ones that could well take them to EPL title contention. However, their aim is to return to the UEFA Champions League, with anything else being a bonus.

How good is Van Gaal doing, and will they win the title this season?
