Season 3 of the CW's Arrow continues to add more DC Comics characters to its roster, and the latest addition is Mark Shaw, aka Manhunter.

The Hollywood Reporter says David Cubitt, who previously starred in the show Medium, will play the character in the third episode of the third season. The site reports Manhunter will debut in the present as "an A.R.G.U.S. operative in Corto Maltese who crosses paths with Diggle."

Several DC Comics characters have become Manhunter over the years, including Kate Spencer, the Starling City prosecutor who died in Season 2. Mark Shaw has some connection to the Suicide Squad, who recurred in the second season.

In other Arrow news, TV Guide first reported exclusively that former NYPD Blue star Charlotte Ross will play Felicity's (Emily Bett Rickards) mom in at least one episode in early November. Details, of course, are under wraps, including the character's name and whether she'd appear in flashbacks or in the present day.

Ross has also appeared in NashvilleGlee and Days of Our Lives.

TV Guide previously reported that Arrow is planning a series of flashbacks focused on Felicity that producers called "the secret origin of Felicity Smoak." Fans learned at Comic-Con that the Felicity-centric episode would be called "Oracle."

"We are absolutely going to get to know her," executive producer Marc Guggenehim said. "We know that she went to MIT, we know that her mom was a cocktail waitress in Vegas and we're going to meet that mom. And we also know that her dad is not in the picture."
