Real Housewives of New York reality star Aviva Drescher did not show up for her father's George Teichner and her now step-mother, Dana Cody's August 4th nuptials.

According to RadarOnline, the 76-year-old reiterated that his 25-year-old wife did not marry him for monetary reasons, "Our wedding was purely born from love! We do not live our lives for showbiz - rather for each other," he added. "I proposed marriage to Cody and she accepted, becoming engaged on RHONY, to share this special time in my life with my daughter Aviva, and to let people know that true love really exists.

The reality star added that the union was out of true love despite many differences the couple shared, "Notwithstanding ageism, racism, and cultural chasm. Unlike the latest fad - marrying for showbiz and its accompanying notoriety, narcissism, fortune and fawners, Cody and I married for eternal love... which is priceless," he insisted. "We quasi eloped to get married on the beach in Malibu, whilst standing in the Pacific Ocean. It was a beautiful, meaningful wedding - a special moment in time for Cody and me!"

Although, it seems Aviva had a change of heart by not showing up to the wedding Dana stood up for Avia claiming that Malibu wedding was a complete surprise on her Twitter, "@avivadrescher was not the ONLY "NO SHOW"..because we DID NOT TELL ANYONE!!!!. Neither family members were aware!! My #HUSBAND & myself only allowed the world to view our love via #RHONY @bravotv so that the public can understand that #truelove & #soulmates exist despite ageism,& cultural differences!! We are truly not into "showbiz" -only into each other... Certain moments in life are #priceless!!!!!"
