Premier League Transfer Gossip: Arturo Vidal, Angel Di Maria, Thomas Vermaelen, Nigel De Jong, Fredy Guarin & Mehdi Benatia Set For Manchester United EPL Transfers

The Premier League transfer gossip is getting bigger and better by the day, and a large reason for that, is Manchester United's rebuilding plans. The club are set to sell and sign several players in the coming weeks, and as the days pass, the rumours are increasing. United are believed to be discussing deals for players such as Arturo Vidal, Angel Di Maria, Thomas Vermaelen, Nigel De Jong, Fredy Guarin and Mehdi Benatia. To take all of these stars to Old Trafford, the club would be looking at spending well over $150 million. If they do so, expect a massive clearance from their current squad, too.

Vidal's move depends on him proving he is fit enough, and fully recovered from his injury-hit past. However, the likes of Di Maria, Vermaelen, Guarin and Benatia are considering offers from Manchester United and other clubs. Their lack of UEFA Champions League football could prove a decisive factor against them. Would these players be enough for one summer?

United are closing in on a deal for De Jong, who they believe would add everything they're lacking. Experience, power and midfield control. Whilst Di Maria and Vermaelen depend on Real Madrid, PSG and Barcelona. PSG want Di Maria, but they're not willing to meet the $90 million fee. Vermaelen has a choice between Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester United, but either way, it looks like he will reject the chance to stay at Arsenal.
