Papoose Happy That His Wife Remy Ma Is Back! After Serving 6-Years Behind Bars, Rapper says, "It's Been Fun Man"
Papoose couldn't be more happier right now to have his wife, rapper Remy Ma back at home. According to BET, Papoose talked about the joy of having Remy released from prison last week in an interview with XXL.
The 36-year-old rapper gave nothing but positive words in regards to his wife, who just served 6-years behind bars.
Remy's was released from prison on a day delay as a result of a phone violation. "Yeah, it was a minor setback, some kind of confusion. But it all got clarified the following day and she was able to regain her freedom," the Brooklyn native said. "It was just a big confusion over there. You know, Remy's a celebrity, and sometimes people get overwhelmed with who she is, or the following she has, so they kind of fumbled the ball on the first day. But the second day, they got organized."
Papoose relives the paperwork drama, as he reveals that it was "frustrating" as he tried to plan a party to welcome his wife back home. "People came from all over to celebrate, and we was all there excited, and they pulled a trick on us," the rapper said. "It was frustrating, but I was in good spirits because I knew that this was the end, that there wouldn't be a longer wait. I knew she was gonna get out within the next couple days, so I wasn't too frustrated. I mean, I was annoyed by it, but I knew she was supposed to get out. Just watching through that six years she just did, six years of change, and knowing that her freedom was far down the line and years away; knowing that it was only days away was more of a relaxing feeling."
Papoose is trying something new, he is finally living with Remy Ma for the first time as a married couple. Papoose said the experience, "It's been fun man, It's been like heaven."
The rapper also revealed that his wife has huge plans for the future, that he can not speak of at the moment. "She's focused, she's working hard," he continues, "Eventually we will [collaborate], but right now she's focusing on what she has to do."
MStars News previously reported that Remy Ma has already released one new single, They Don't Love You No More in a remix with DJ Khaled.
