J.D. Martinez, Jonny Gomes, Tyler Skaggs, Albert Pujols, Brian McCann & Masahiro Tanaka Slap One Another In MLB Games: Which Star & Teams Will Win World Series? American League

The MLB season is heating up, and many are starting to predict who will win the 2014 World Series. Teams like the New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers, Los Angeles Angels and Oakland Athletics are all in contention to get there from the American League, but which one will get all the way to the World Series, where they will face National League opposition? Players like J.D. Martinez, Jonny Gomes, Tyler Skaggs, Albert Pujols, Brian McCann and Masahiro Tanaka are all desperate to get there, which is why they've taken to slapping one another, creating a new baseball sensation for teammates.

You're probably wondering if these players are in trouble, right? Not at all. They're happy-slapping one another. It's been around the baseball field for decades, but it's growing in significance, and it seems the winning teams slap more than any others. Players like Pujols slap teammates like Skaggs on the lower back/bottom, to say 'well done'. It seems the pat on the back is acting as a way to motivate players to continue to succeed, in order to receive more feel-good praise.

With all of this praise being given, which set of players will end up adding a World Series place to their resume, and quite possibly a winners ring to their slapping-hand? The Yankees are struggling, but can never be forgotten. The Angels and A's have been impressive, but the A's have a great pitching staff, and one to match the Tigers. It should come down to the A's and the Tigers, and whoever wins could very well win the 2014 MLB World Series.

Are these slaps a good way to motivate one another, and have you noticed any other weird things the players do? Lastly, who will win the World Series?
