Donate To St. Jude In Memory Of Robin Williams, Actor's Daughter Tweets 'Thank You' To The Supporters Of The Charity
Zelda Williams is speaking out and not only remembering her father in her released statement, but recognizing her dad's charity work.
Actor Robin Williams was a very active charity worker, member, and sponsor with the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, helping to raise awareness about pediatric cancer research, and getting people from everywhere to donate to the cause.
In the news of Williams death, the people at St. Jude released a statement on Monday that said:
"Today the world lost an iconic man and entertainer, and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital lost an incredible friend and supporter. We send our deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones of Robin Williams.
Mr. Williams generously gave his time to raise awareness and funds for St. Jude and for our patients battling childhood cancer. His humor brought bright smiles and laughter to our patients and families and his generosity deeply touched the hearts of all who knew him. He and his family remain in our thoughts and prayers."
Williams daughter, Zelda expressed her appreciation for the fans who already donated following the actors death Tuesday via Twitter.
She wrote, "Thank you to all those donating to @StJude in memory of my father. I'm overwhelmed. The charity meant the world to him, as it does to me."
