Late Night Television Pays Tribute To Robin Williams: Jimmy Fallon, Conan O'Brien And Seth Meyers [VIDEOS]
As more details of the death of Robin Williams appear to come to light, more and more tributes are coming out acknowledging the man for what he was: a genius. And last night, late night television took some time to pay tribute to Williams. Particularly, Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers.
"We, like all of you, were shaken up a bit last night when we learned that genius comedian and actor Robin Williams passed away," said Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon, who has been known to imitate Williams on occasion on both his talk shows and in the past on Saturday Night Live. "He was one of a kind, one in a million."
Fallon then went into a flawless impression before claiming that he'll never see another person like that again. "He was like the Muhammad Ali of comedy."
Conan O'Brien, who broke the news of Williams' death to his audience on Monday night, chose to tell a story of how Williams helped him get over his Tonight Show debacle ... by purchasing him a top-of-the-line, yet ridiculous-looking bicycle. The CONAN host called Williams incredible and went on to show a clip of various appearances the Good Will Hunting star made on his shows.
Ending out our list is Late Night host Seth Meyers. Though the performer had not worked with Williams in the past, other than times he hosted Saturday Night Live, Meyers claims that we should focus on how lucky we were to have had the man around in the first place. He also stated, "The saddest part of this is Robin was battling depression. If there's anything we can do to honor his memory, I would hope it would be to educate us more about this terrible affliction."
