Carrie Underwood 2015 Super Bowl Halftime Show Performer? 'Sunday Night Football' Singer Rumored To Be Headlining Biggest Night In Football

Stand on the bar stomp your feet start clapping, got a real good feeling "Something Bad" about to happen. Despite the lyrics to her newest song with Miranda Lambert, something bad is not about to happen for Carrie Underwood, in fact something really good could be coming down the pipeline for the country singer.

It looks like America's sweetheart might be headlining this season's Super Bowl Halftime show. According to sports blog, Terezowens, the American Idol alum could follow in the footsteps of Beyonce, Bruno Mars, and Madonna, and take the stage at the 2015 Super Bowl show.

The sports site is saying that multiple inside sources with the NFL have revealed to them that Underwood is definitely the front-runner for the concert event.

And this isn't the only football related news for the singer. She is also gearing up to be the face of Sunday Night Football for the second year in a row, and she tells The Hollywood Reported that she is so honored she gets to be apart of it.

"I love football. I'm honored they asked me to kick it off," The "Blown Away" singer says. "Hopefully when people hear the song, they'll just feel ready for the big game!"

She stars in the opening sequence with football stars, Russell Wilson, Richard Sherman, Colin Kaepernick and DeMarcus Ware.
