Marvel Comics' latest hit series will take on a bold new direction. Critically acclaimed writer Brian Wood (DMZ) and renowned artist Greg Smallwood (Dream Thief) will takeover as the new creative team, starting with the action-packed Moon Knight #7.

In the Marvel Universe, mercenary assassin Marc Spector was suddenly killed in action. On a top-secret assignment in Egypt, Spector found himself slowly dying from a mortal wound. Crawling towards the statue of the ancient deity, known as Khonshu, he pleased his case to stay alive. The question is, was Marc really brought back from the dead by an Egyptian god? Or is he really that crazy to make that stuff up?

When scribe Warren Ellis (Gun Machine) and illustrator Declan Shalvey (Thunderbolts) relaunched the smash hit title, Marc appeared to be suffering from multiple personalities. His troubled mind created Moon Knight, a video-controlled drone built from magical trinkets. The second personality manifested as Mr. Knight, a consultant to the New York Police Department, as well as a vigilante-for-hire.

Now a new creative team will pick up the reigns and try to up the ante. In the next era, the story starts out with a bang and a blackout to keep the tension rising. Using all his wits and gadgets, Moon Knight pursues a dangerous new foe across the darkened streets of NYC.

With the Big Apple under the shadows, this is going to be an exciting ride.

Moon Knight #7 is expected to arrive in September. Readers, are you excited to see what Brian Wood and Greg Smallwood have in store?
