There is about to be a Big Bang wedding. Star of the hit CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory, Jim Parsons just got engaged to his boyfriend of 12 years, art director Todd Spiewak.

According to The National Enquirer, the 41-year-old actor proposed to his 37-year-old partner after getting a huge salary increase for his involvement on the TV series. Now that the actor is going to be rolling in the dough, after getting an increase from $325,000 per episode to an incredible $1 million, it seems that he is ready to settle down.

The Emmy award winning actor, along with his costars Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco held up production on the seventh season of the series after playing hard ball and demanding more money or else they would walk. The tactics worked as each are set to make $1 million per episode.

According to the news source, Todd has long been pressuring Parsons to settle down and get married, especially after coming out as gay back in 2012. However, the Big Bang star wanted to make sure his finances were in order before jumping into marriage.

According to the news source, Todd "told [Jim] he felt like they were just treading water in their relationship."

Parsons "finally told Todd, 'the though of losing you is scarier than anything I can imagine,' and he asked Todd to marry him!"
