Alyssa Lynch, Dylan Everett, Tiera Skovbye Star In Lifetime's 'The Unauthorized Saved By The Bell Story' Trailer [Watch Video]
Lifetime has released the first trailer from their highly anticipated docudrama, The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story. Before the premiere of the popular NBC teen soap, the entire cast of newcomers weren't expecting to be catapulted into sudden fame and fortune, as they became pop culture icons.
As reported here, the cable network announced they were were making a behind-the-scenes movie based on Dustin Diamond's tell-all memoir. Every Saturday morning, viewers flocked to their TV sets to see A.C. Slater (Mark Lopez) and Zach Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) fight over the popular cheerleader Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani-Amber Thiessen). No matter how many times she broke his heart, Screech (Diamond) would never give up on his unrequited love for Lisa Turtle (Lark Voorhies). Remember when Elizabeth Berkley (Tiera Skovbye) was so "excited" over caffeine pills?
Based on Diamond's memories, there was a romance brewing between Theissen (Alyssa Lynch) and Gosselaar (Dylan Everett) off-screen. Lopez (Julian Works) was super cocky as he entered the room to audition for his role. Berkley (Skovbye) had to pull off double-duty by remembering her lines and keeping the peace between her co-stars.
Are we supposed to take this biopic seriously? Everett does Gosselaar's famous move, "Time-Out," when he stands in the middle of packed red carpet event. Every cheering fan suddenly freezes as Everett says, "I guess they like us."
