WWE SummerSlam 2014 Results: Did Brock Lesnar Conquer John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship?

The 2014 edition of WWE's SummerSlam emanates live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles and begins with the pre-show match between Cesaro and Rob Van Dam. RVD wins with the Five-Star Frog Splash.

Hulk Hogan starts the show proper with a promo about how SummerSlam is a night when WWE Superstars can etch their names in the history books. He advertises the WWE Network for $9.99 and leaves.

The Miz comes out to defend his Intercontinental Championship against Dolph Ziggler. Miz cuts a promo about turning Ziggler into an unrecognizable failure, aka the Lakers. Ziggler wins the match with the Zig Zag to become the new IC champ.

Brie Bella gets interviewed backstage and cuts a promo about taking out Stephanie McMahon later in the night.

Paige defeats AJ Lee to become the new Divas Champion with the Rampaige, aka the cradle DDT.

Rusev comes out with Lana for the Flag Match. She cuts an anti-America promo, and the Color Guard comes out before Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter. Rusev attacks Swagger before the match and Swagger gets him in the Patriot Lock. The match begins and Rusev causes Swagger to pass out, so the referee calls the match. Rusev kicks Zeb Colter after the match. The Russian national anthem plays and the Russian flag rises.

Seth Rollins defeats Dean Ambrose in a wild Lumberjack Match that spills into the crowd. Ambrose hits Rollins' own move, the Curb Stomp, but Corporate Kane breaks up the pin. The lumberjacks then all brawl in the ring and eventually clear out, so Rollins uses the distraction to whack Ambrose with the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Bray Wyatt cleanly defeats Chris Jericho with two Sister Abigails, one to the barricade and one in the center of the ring.

Stephanie McMahon defeats Brie Bella with the Pedigree after Triple H pulls the referee out of the ring and Nikki Bella turns on her sister.

Roman Reigns defeats Randy Orton after he kicks out of an RKO, dodges a punt and nails the Viper with a spear.

Brock Lesnar (w/Paul Heyman) destroys John Cena to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Lesnar hits Cena with a F5 early but the champ kicks out. Lesnar proceeds to hit Cena with 16 German suplexes and another F5 to score the pin. Cena barely gets off any offense in the match, outside of some punches, an STF and an Attitude Adjustment.
