Talk about life imitating art. True Blood star Jim Parrack might be taking his acting role a little too far with his latest confession. The star, who plays Hoyt Fortenberry on the popular HBO vampire series, just revealed that he likes to drink blood when he isn't on set.

In an interview with Vulture, the actor opened up about his strange obsession.

"I was being literal. I like the real deal," he tells the magazine. "I guess for the same reason some people want alcohol? Or for the same reason some people want, I don't know... milk? Or Kool-Aid? I guess the best way to put it is sometimes I just like the way it tastes."

The 33-year-old actor might not be a vampire on the series, but we think he could have picked the practice up on set. Maybe he felt like he was missing out on something?

While it's not a habit that he partakes in regularly, he does say that it is an urge that he gives into "a couple times a year."

"It's more like on an impulse," Parrack said. "When you make me spell it out like this, it sounds strange," he admits.

"I guess the best way to put it is sometimes I just like the way it tastes," he says.

When it comes to whose blood he wants to suck, he explained that he only has eyes for one person, his wife, Leven Rambin of Hunger Games fame. Jim reveals that no one else's blood currently interests him.

"I'm absolutely particular," he explains. "It does something to you emotionally. It's hard to describe."
