'The Voice' Coach Christina Aguilera Explains Meaning Behind Daughter Summer Rain Rulter's Name

In a world where celebrities name their babies after pieces of fruit and directions on a compass, Christina Aguilera surprised all her fans with the name that she choose for the newest addition to her family.

The Voice coach is always known for her creative decisions, whether it is in music video or in her performances, but she took her creativity to a new level when it came to naming her daughter.

The starlet, who gave birth on Saturday to a daughter with her fiancé Matt Rutler took to Twitter Sunday night to reveal the name that her and her man came up with.

According to E! News, who spoke with someone close to the singer, they revealed that XTina wanted to pick something creative for a name.

"Christina wanted something different and unique for the baby's name," an insider close to the singer told E! News. "She loves how Summer Rain Rutler flows together and thinks summer is an amazing time of the year. She has always been a more expressive person and a little bohemian who is inspired by words and daily life."

"Lately, she has been all about being natural and she's been showing her softer side," the insider went on to reveal. "Getting so into yoga really kick started her hippie side. She loves it!"

This is Christina's second child, but first with her soon to be hubby Matt. She shares 6-year-old Max with her former husband, Jordan Bratman.

The source also explained that things have been going great for the family since the addition was added to their growing family.

"Max is really excited about being a big brother and they constantly have tried to make him feel included," Xtina's friend explained. "He's excited and not too jealous and is already helping mommy out. All is going great!"
