Kari Byron, Tory Belleci, Grant Imahara Axed From 'Mythbusters!' Will Adam Savage, Jamie Hyneman Replace Them?
After a marvelous decade of fact-checking hundreds of urban myths, co-hosts Grant Imahara, Kari Byron, and Tory Belleci are leaving the popular Discovery TV program, Mythbusters. This does not mean cancellation but a new direction for Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman who will continue hosting duties without the trio.
The announcement was made on video for the Discovery Channel, during the trio's last episode. The science show will be going back to basics and shrink down the format to just two regular hosts. Just like before Savage and Hyneman will be the only two hosts debunking fact from fiction.
In the video, Hyneman explains,"This next season, we're going back to our origins with just Adam and me."
After 10 years of blowing stuff up and reality-checking, the three co-hosts will unfortunately not be returning. It's difficult for any person to hear they have been laid off, especially with that decision made public. Still the former TV personalities held their head up high, thanking their fans for their endless support.
Bellici also mentions, "It's been an amazing ride for 10 years! We couldn't have done it without you guys. You're the best fans anyone could wish for. Thank you"
In a series of tweets, Byron states, "The show is taking a new direction. It was an amazing run. I learned so much about myself and the world. I love you all @MythBusters"
Byron continues, "After a decade of the Mythbusters, we are no longer with the show. Thank you to all the fans who have supported us."
Imahara tweets, "Thanks @MythBusters for allowing us to teach science in a whole new way. Also, explosions. Now, on to the next adventure!"

We will have to wait and see if Mythbusters will have the same dynamic without them.
Grant Imahara, Kari Bryon, and Tory Belleci will not be returning to Mythbusters next season. We wish them well as they move on ahead in their careers.
