Louis Van Gaal, Robin Van Persie, Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney & Angel Di Maria: Are Manchester United In Decline Or Can Superstars Save Their Season & Their Premier League Future?

Louis Van Gaal was supposed to bring the better times back to Manchester United, but so far they are win-less in their first two games of the 2014/15 season. Stars Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie and Juan Mata give them hope, but they're playing far from their best. The club are tipped to bring Real Madrid superstar Angel Di Maria to the club in the coming days, and many are wondering could he possibly save the club's season and their EPL future, or are they a club that's destined to endure a terrible decline?

Mata and Rooney show glimpses of talent, and Mata scored their only goal of the game in their latest draw at Sunderland, but is it enough to keep the fans happy? The club are one of the biggest in the world, and they demand success, but they seem a far shadow of the side they were 18 months ago. Di Maria is expected to join, as are a few others, and many are wondering if there's an instant fix to the mess that United are going through, or will this take time?

Van Gaal insists patience is needed and he has shown signs of improvements since taking over this summer. Van Persie is back, but yet to return to full fitness, and many believe if Louis can get him and Rooney fully fit, then adding them to Mata and Di Maria is a recipe for success. Of course, as many fans would tell you, they're in desperate need of a new defender or two as well.
