WWE Rumors: Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose Returns, Brock Lesnar and John Cena Plan at Night of Champions
Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan has been out of action for months following a neck injury and surgery, while Dean Ambrose has been out of action for a week as he films the newest WWE Studios movie, Lockdown. So when can fans expect to see both men back in a WWE ring?
The Internet was abuzz on Monday with reports that WWE was advertising Bryan for its European tour in November; however, it's important to note that this could be in a non-wrestling capacity. According to some reports, WWE feels it needs all the star power it has to move tickets for that tour, so Bryan could simply make appearances during the shows in order to put people in the seats. Of course, if Bryan is medically cleared to wrestle, then he'll likely suit up and compete.
As for Ambrose, the Lunatic Fringe is not expected back until after Night of Champions. It is possible, though, that he could show up at the pay-per-view, as filming on Lockdown is scheduled to wrap on Sept. 20, the day before the event.
Speaking of Night of Champions, fans already know the main event is a rematch between John Cena and new champion Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Many fans are wondering how WWE plans to book this match after Lesnar completely demolished Cena at SummerSlam. According to reports, the company has two ideas in mind.
Firstly, Cena could overcome the odds yet again and defeat Brock Lesnar to regain the belt; however, this would likely involve a finish in which Lesnar does not have to take a fall or submit.
The other option is for Lesnar to retain the belt and then hold it until WrestleMania 31. The Authority would realize it was a mistake to let Lesnar win and would need a hero to come in and bring the belt back to WWE. This would likely be Roman Reigns.
