Gotham City Jail Photos on Batman vs. Superman Set
More set photos continue to come out of the set of Zack Snyder's upcoming superhero blockbuster Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the latest ones show off Gotham City Jail.
It seems that Detroit, where the cast and crew are currently filming, will function as Metropolis, Washington D.C. and now Gotham. You can check out one of the photos at the top of the page. Do these pictures mean Commissioner Jim Gordon will appear in the movie?
In a somewhat related bit of news, prepare yourself for Batman v. Superman to be a serious film without many jokes, similar to Man of Steel, because Warner Bros. apparently has a "no jokes" policy for its comic book movies. HitFix's Drew McWeeny reports the following:
"Last week was about the fifth time I've heard that there is a mandate at Warner Bros. regarding any of the DC superhero films in development, and it's very simple and direct and to the point. 'No jokes.'"
Take this with a grain of salt, as usual, but Man of Steel was certainly lacking in the humor department. This is in stark contrast to Marvel's movies, which are loaded with humor. Guardians of the Galaxy was practically a comedy.
What do you make of the photos of Gotham City Jail? How do you think this will factor into the movie? What do you think of this supposed "no jokes" policy? Do you wish DC comics movies had some more humor, or should they stay serious? Let us know in the comments section.
