'Inside Out' New Pixar Movie Sneak Peek - Release Date Rumors, Trailer Spoilers [PHOTOS & VIDEO] Meet Riley - Our New Animated Heroine!
Disney's Pixar has a new animated feature with a release date set for June 19, 2015, entitled Inside Out, which takes place within the mind of an 11-year-old girl. So far we met the main characters (the young girl's emotions), but this week we got to meet Riley, the "setting" of the movie. We don't have a trailer to share with you, but plenty of spoilers - as well as rumors - will follow, so be warned.
This new look at Inside Out debuted on the "Disney Anywhere App," which thankfully also has a website. Check out the premiere look at Riley, the next Pixar heroine that will star in Inside Out by following this link RIGHT HERE! (the video is not embeddable, sorry!)
You can also check out an image of Riley's emotions below:
These emotions are voiced by Amy Poehler (Joy), Bill Hader (Fear), Lewis Black (Anger), Mindy Kaling (Disgust) and Phyllis Smith (Sadness). No word on what actress will voice Riley as of yet.
But what can we expect from this psychological animated feature?
"The idea to be honest really came from me thinking, what can animation do that we haven't tried yet?" director Pete Docter said of the project. "What if we stay more abstract and go inside the mind?"
Here is the official synopsis of Inside Out:
Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it's no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions ... The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley's mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley's main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.
