Hello Kitty Not A Cat!!!: Stars Katy Perry, Josh Groban, Ryan Seacrest, & More React to Shocking News
Are you ready to be shocked by this news? Well Sanrio, the company that created Hello Kitty, has some pretty devastating news that might just ruin some of our childhoods. According the company, Hello Kitty is actually not a kitty at all, heck she isn't in the feline family, instead the fictional character is actually a human girl.
Yup you read that right, a girl.
The company just released the following statement saying, "Hello Kitty is not a cat, she's a girl." And the bio on her webpage even reiterates these shocking sentiments.
"As tall as five apples, and as heavy as three, Hello Kitty is a bright little girl with a heart of gold," the bio reads. "She loves to bake cookies and play the piano and dreams of one day becoming a pianist or maybe even a poet. She has a gift for music and English, and a soft spot for Mama's apple pie. Hello Kitty and her twin sister Mimmy are the best of friends."
That isn't the only bombshell that is being dropped on us today. Hello Kitty is also apparently from London, where she was born and still lives, making her British.
