Manchester United dominated football for years under Sir Alex Ferguson, fell far behind under David Moyes, and promised that Louis Van Gaal would restore the good times. He's insisted it will "take time", but despite a lack of UEFA Champions League football, the club are still proving to be a major force. Days after adding Angel Di Maria to play with Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie, the club have pulled off one the biggest deadline day deals of all time, agreeing a deal for Radamel Falcao from AS Monaco, beating Real Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester City.

United already have a solid strikeforce, but many believed they'd be in the market for defenders today, however, they've pulled off a massive coup, agreeing a one-year loan deal for Falcao, who many consider one of the best strikers in world football. Falcao will join for one year initially, and then he could complete a permanent move if things go well.

Many outgoings are expected also, and with just hours left, it appears Van Gaal's club are desperate to make their final changes as quickly as possible. Falcao will line up with Rooney, making one of Europe's deadliest duos, with Van Persie coming in to the mix, too. Who will deliver the deadly balls to the strikers, well, Di Maria has already signed. United may be in a "rebuilding period", but it seems they're looking to use their financial power to make this happen as quickly as possible.

Will Falcao be a good signing for United, and will Madrid, Arsenal and City regret missing out on the fantastic forward?
