'Dancing With The Stars' Karina Smirnoff Doesn't Think Julianne Hough Judging Brother Derek Hough 'Is Ethical'
Dancing With the Stars may have just pulled off a major coup with the addition of Julianne Hough to the judges' panel, but it doesn't look like everyone is too thrilled about this newest addition. DWTS pro Karina Smirnoff is speaking out about the development, saying that she thinks adding the former dancing pro to the judges' tables is unethical.
According to Us Weekly, the star is not very happy that Derek Hough's sister will be critiquing the performances, since her brother is still on the show.
"I think she is a great girl, I've known her for many years," Smirnoff explained. "I think that she is wonderful, gorgeous, and talented, but I don't know if it's ethical that she is judging while her brother is competing."
"I may be the most fair person in the world, but if my mom is dancing and she trips, I would be like, 'Well, I didn't see that," the Karina commented to the magazine. "That is my mother, and I will go stand by her side and support her regardless. Do I think it's fair? No. But it is a TV show. That is what we have to remember. It's not necessarily the Bible, it's just a TV show."
But it's not like Julianne has to favor her brother as he is one of the most decorated winners on DWTS, having taken home the mirror ball trophy five different times during season 7, season 10, season 11, season 16 and season 17.
Maybe Julianne will get sick of her brother's winning streak and actually be hard on him when it comes to scoring his performances.
