Gael García Bernal, 'Rosewater' Actor, Splits With Dolores Fonzi After 5 Years!

Another celebrity couple calls its quits after struggling to stay together in the limelight. Actor Gael García Bernal, who has landed the coveted main lead role in Jon Stewart's directorial debut, Rosewater, has separated with his wife, fellow thespian Dolores Fonzi, after 5 years of marriage together.

E! Online reports that the Y Tu Tambien actor has officially split with Private Lives actress, after having been separated for some time now. They divide their time while traveling back and forth from Mexico to the wife home country. The 36-year-old mother of two is currently living in Argentina taking care of the children.

An Argentine-born actress met El Casa De Mi Padre comedian on the set of their movie, Vidas Privadas, The two didn't even start dating until 2008. The son and daughter, Lazaro and Libertad, then came afterwards during their marriage.

Patricia Bernal confirms the split with People En Espanol, which has been translated from Spanish to English, "Sometimes things work or do not work, but you have to get close. We must be caring."

On Twitter, the El Aura actress has been feeling dow, revealing her downtrodden feelings since July, "I fall down and get up. With great difficuty."

At this time, Bernal is already winning critical praise for his powerful performance in Stewart's directorial feature. Rosewater has already won great film at the 2014 Telluride Film Festival. The 35 year old plays the role of tortured journalist, Maziar Bahari.
