Scarlett Johansson Gives Birth to Baby Girl
Congratulations to Avengers star Scarlett Johansson, who gave birth today to a baby girl named Rose.
The actress' rep sent a statement to the Associated Press Thursday stating that, "The couple are doing well," and "the couple is seeking privacy and are supporters of the No Kids Policy, the celebrity effort to keep famous folks' children out of the public eye."
Back in March E! News reported that the star and her husband, French journalist Romain Dauriac were expecting their first child.
Although the star and her fiancé have kept a very mellow profile during her pregnancy, the two have been spotted on occasion, giving fans a glimpse of her baby bump. She was seen with Dauriac attending a NYC birthday party in the West Village days before she gave birth. The expecting parents were also caught recently strolling through New York munching on treats from Milk Bar in the East Village. They ordered a milk soft-serve and shake, a source told People Magazine
The new mother has also traded in her long hair for a short blond pixie cut, which is a great way to cut down on time in the morning. We know she needs it now that the little one has finally arrived!
Johansson has been busy this year with blockbuster hits such as Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Lucy, and Chef. It will be interesting to see how she keeps up her A-list roles while being a mommy.
Johansson grew up in the spotlight, starting her acting career in 1994 at the age of 10 in the comedy film North. She is known in Hollywood for her signature husky voice and her curvaceous figure. We are sure fans are excited to see what's next for Johansson and her daughter.
