TV Land Gives 'The Exes' 12 More Episodes In Season 4
TV Land's The Exes is renewed for 12 more episodes in advanced of their season four premiere.
The comedy television series staring Donald Faison, Kristen Johnston, Wayne Knight, David Alan Basche, Kelly Stables and Leah Remini debuted on TV Land in Nov. 2011.
In June of 2012 the network picked up 12 episodes for its second season followed by the following year with a 10-episode pickup.
According to Variety, TV Land president Larry W. Jones said, "Everything we've seen from the upcoming season of The Exes is telling us it's going to be the best one yet."
The show will premiere on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 10:30 p.m. Said Jones, "Last week, we crossed the 50th episode threshold, and we thought, these episodes are so good, lets keep them going!"
The show is basically a manifestation of its title, a group of divorced friends who are trying to get back to the single life. Divorce attorney Holly (Johnston) introduces her client Stuart (Basche) to his new roommates Phil (Faison) and Haskell (Knight). The two are skeptical of Stuart, however Holly lives across the hall and keeps the boys in line.
With fall coming near, TV viewers anticipate which shows will survive the premiering slots. Though network cancellations are always a possibility, fans are excited that The Exes will not be one of them. Its sister show from the network, Kirstie Alley's Kirstie was canceled after one season.
Here are some other shows across the networks that weren't as lucky as The Exes and were canceled: Gang Related (Fox), Growing Up Fisher (NBC), Hostages (CBS), Katie (ABC), The Michael J. Fox Show (NBC) and Piers Morgan Live (CNN).
