Marc Guggenheim, Keto Shimizu's 'Arrow: Season 2.5!' Stephen Amell's Green Arrow Adventures Continue In Digital!
Before the highly anticipated season 3 of the popular CW series, Arrow, premieres, DC Comics will answer any leftover questions in comic book spinoff, Arrow Season 2.5. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim joins fellow scribe Keto Shimizu to continue Stephen Amell's Green Arrow adventures in digital print.
USA Today got the scoop on the upcoming digital comic. The story arc fills in the first five months after the second season left off. Season 2.5 teases the return of Brother Blood (Kevin Alejandro) as well as an appearance by the Canary, Sara Lance (Caity Lotz). We will also see what happened after Slade, aka Deathstroke, was dropped off in his hidden prison cell.
Comic book fans should know the Green Lantern screenwriter has already made his stamp in the comic book realm. Recently, the executive producer had a short run in the X-Men comics, featuring the all-female mutant superhero team.
Guggenheim promises a cold opening just like in every episode and "an action sequence we could never film on the show given our time and budget limitations."
The Suicide Squad made their appearance in the TV series this past season. Task Force X, along with team leader Amanda Waller, will make their way to the comics with another deadly assignment.
Shimizu adds, "as well as some cool villains and other characters in the DC Universe that we couldn't probably ever have on the show, but we can have them exist on the page."
