George Clooney, Amal Alamuddin Wedding Update- Couple Marrying In Next Two Weeks In Venice

George Clooney is trading in his bachelor title forever as he is getting set to marry Amal Alamuddin, and the wedding is coming much sooner than expected. During the couple's first public appearance over the weekend at a charity event, Clooney not only confirmed the date of the wedding but also the location, both of which have been causing a lot of speculation.

The charity event called Celebrity Fight Night took place in Italy, and the A-List actor was not shy about giving up some of the details of his upcoming nuptials.

According to Yahoo, Clooney was at the event to accept an award and he spoke about his wedding during his acceptance speech.

"I met my lovely bride-to-be here in Italy," the actor explained. "Whom I will be marrying in a couple of weeks, in Venice of all places."

Unlike his pal Brad Pitt, who wed Angelina Jolie in a secret ceremony, Clooney gave fans the courtesy of two weeks notice before his wedding.

It is speculated that Amal will walk down the aisle wearing Alexander McQueen as she was spotted hanging out at the headquarters in London. McQueen is also the brains behind Duchess Kate Middleton's gorgeous wedding gown from 2011. Alamuddin was also seen at the Kensington and Chelsea registry offices, where she obtained a wedding license.

The 36-year-old and her 53-year-old fiancé looked so cute together as they walked the red carpet in their first public appearance.
